Bib

Bib, the bibliography app | An independent project. Current status (02.2024): WIP

Bib is an app that helps you create a bibliography while conducting an academic or scientific research.

What problems does Bib solve?
Even in our digital age, many publications are solely available in printed format, in specialized libraries. Many students struggle keeping their bibliography orderly, and even the apps that are currently available, require the hassle of manual input. Bib seeks to solve this issue by enabling you to input the data you need by scanning the ISBN, library code, or even the title of the book, auto-completing the details necessary for producing a comprehensive bibliography, allowing you to add or edit the information if needed. Bib keeps an organized, detailed list of your citations, which you can access both from your phone and computer.

What makes Bib different from other bibliography apps?
Bib uses image-to-text converter, and pulls all the necessary bibliography data from the internet (see slides above), or from the library data base, (if the necessary permission is granted by the library), saving you the hassle of manual input. You can add or edit the information, if needed.

Optional features:
The user can add a due date to an essay they are working on, and enable Bib to send reminders regarding pending essays and upcoming deadlines.
Bib can offer recommendations, and can direct you to relevant sources.
